Locked In

All characters are White. A single mother with a stepson and adopted daughter shown to be selfish and cold toward both children, which shows a negative example of both single parenting and an adoptive family. Men are shown to be manipulative and coercive, including a doctor who prescribes medication for his own gain. Female characters are a cold, selfish mother and a quiet, powerless daughter, though those roles are challenged later on in the film.
