Very well done. Make sure you are not only an older teen, but a mature one too. Watch the family edition.

Watch the family edition. That gets most of the language out of the way. The movie is great, and I can't wait for the sequels! There is a hugging and kissing scene... references mating... but it is pretty mild. The Navi have little clothing... I didn't catch anything explicit. Still, If this is a stumbling block for somebody, don't watch this one. I would recommend this to older teens.

Overtly left-wing, great visuals and special effects

This movie is very left-wing, eco-focused, and anti-American. If you can get past that, the visuals are incredible and special effects are also very well done. Can't belive you gave it 4 out of 5 stars though... let's try not to be so overtly PC

Other than the bad language it's not much worse than any Disney film

There is bad language throughout but our kids know not to repeat it so it doesn't bother me. There is a bit of blood. I read some reviews comparing about nudity but it's just side boobs and bare male chests. The violence is all from a distance off screen with a few after shots with blood where a main character is injured. An alien horse runs past on fire at one point which is probably the most distressing shot. I was nervous about showing this to my 8 year old but really didn't need to be. My 5 year old (who had nightmares after Dora the explorer) also watched happily but struggled to keep up with the plot.

Utterly Disappointing & Disgusting

I was quite excited to see this movie for quite some time. When I finally got too seeing that movie was utterly disappointing. The messages that the movie portrayed, global promotions through cutting down tree's and mining is disgusting. Don't even get me started on the swearing. I heard them at least say sh** 8 times. On top of drinking what I believe may be alcohol.

Watch to satisfy curiosity, not entertaining, plot very predictable, special effects fantastic

Type of profanity very inappropriate for all ages. Very disappointed, otherwise could have been a great movie. Underlying theme has deep political overtones fitting the "Green" agenda. Although, not surprised from Cameron and others.

This movie is a rehash of several segments from other movies:Pocahontas,Jurassic Park,Star Wars,Star Trek,Star Trek TNG,...etc.This is an old formula movie:Big bad mining corporation wantonly abusing and destroying indigenous people.3D is 1950s technology.Been there, done that.IMAX is not a regular flat screen, but that's what was shown.Good wins versus evil mining company. So unimaginative, predictable, unoriginal. This was a giant ripoff.Any other sci-fi movie is better than this old garbage. If you are a kid you will be dazzled by all the technology. The plot is SOO trite.

9yr old daughter loved it

An amazing film -we watched it in 3parts as it's very long. Has several strong female characters which is important in a movie. Includes messages of resilience and being respectful of the natural world. Yes, there are breasts but these are of the indigenous Navi and barely visible. Breasts are also everywhere in the real world so we didn't have a problem with that. Yes, there's a 'mating scene' but it lasts less than about 30secs and is hardly graphic. There is a bit of swearing which I'm not a huge fan of but they're not words my daughter would repeat. There are some distressing scenes of bombing and killing in combat, not a great deal of blood and gore but the aftermath also for the Navi people is potentially upsetting. Overall, we loved this film and enjoyed visiting Pandora.
