A passionate plea for the protection of habitat occupied by ancient animals, this docuseries informs as it entertains. Educational content goes hand-in-hand with remarkable camera work in Secrets of the Elephants, making it as good a series for the classroom as it is for the living room.

Families can enjoy this series together, though it will be most entertaining for wildlife fans. The emphasis on human impact on wildlife habitats will send shivers down some spines, but the elephants who use their smarts and strength to adapt to life among humans are sure to inspire.
