What’s It About?
REMY'S LIFE…INTERRUPTED starts out simple enough, as 11-year-old Remy launches a podcast chronicling her experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. But that premise soon gives way to a storyline laced with sci-fi elements. She and her brother Alex find themselves in the middle of an increasingly complicated challenge, wherein the fate of reality itself is at stake.
Is It Any Good?
Remy's Life…Interrupted goes to places far beyond what its initial premise sets up, but its thematic focus keeps the show grounded and surprisingly relevant to the pandemic experience. Hearing this daily podcast years later perhaps won't have the same effect as being a part of the journey in real time, but it still weaves a fascinating tale of perseverance and community that older children and their adults might find effective. If anything, it could also open up conversations regarding how the COVID-19 pandemic affected them and the lasting effects that have resulted.
