Boring and Dark
I liked the first two movies in the modern series, but I found this one really boring. The whole movie is dark in both appearance and theme. The suspense was more of jump-scare type elements than through the story. By the end, I didn't really care who was guilty; I just wanted the movie over. When I left I told my wife, "There was not one thing about that movie that I really enjoyed."
Semi- spoiler alert - Because you know this is a Hercule Poirot movie, you know that he will uncover how the "spiritual/ghost/haunting" things are really being done, but there is still a bunch of those elements that have a scary/dark/spiritual theme. Just note that if you have young or sensitive kids.

Only for adults.
This movie has sex and nudity. The first nude scene shows a woman on top of a man showing her breasts. She gets up and goes to a book shelf and then comes back to have sex again and shows her breast. Later there is another scene where the two characters are sitting naked in two chairs having a conversation. It shows the woman's breasts. It is a long scene and cuts back to it multiple times. In that scene, there is an abstract moment where the naked woman straddles the man (having sex) in a room of men (it's not meant to be literal, but it's a sex scene). In my opinion, the sex was totally unnecessary and ruined the movie for any chance to bring kids.

Ruined a true story.
This could have been a good movie, but they chose to ruin it by adding things that were not a part of the historical account. They took a married couple (who were really a part of the project) and turned them into the wife being an adulterer and the husband being homosexual. Neither of these ever happened. Why make that a part of the story? Not only did they make these things up, but then they made those choices come across as romantic. It did not add to the remarkable story, and it became a distraction. Ruined the movie for me.

Good family movie
It's a good movie for a family to watch. My four kids 8-15 were engaged. No bad language that I remember. There are some sad parts, so sensitive kids might be sad, but overall, a fun movie.

Really fun and cute movie.
I'm not sure why people described this as an overly scary movie. It did not have any more scary violence than other animated movies. I watched it with my 5, 7, 9, and 11 year old kids and they ALL loved it. It was clever, funny, clean (a few slightly edgy parts), and entertaining. Really good.
