Such a good show idea but 5 episodes in the ā€œheroā€ is a transgender girl. While I have no ill will towards those who engage with this ideology, it is my choice to discuss such issues with my children as I see fit. I donā€™t appreciate such a sensitive topic being snuck in several episodes in.

Transformational

Chip Conley speaks of organisations having their own Maslow hierarchy, with transformation at the top, after survival and success. Marvel has produced something transformational. One can see the passion in the Marvel staff, the young people who can showcase their "superpowers", and my kids loved it. Perfect "lockdown" viewing in the time of Covid-19.

This heartening series celebrates outstanding young people who have made the choice to face difficult challenges and serve their communities by being positive, hard-working, and creative in their everyday lives. While the heroes are from all walks of life, and have individual interests and talents, they all exhibit courage and commitment as they take on leadership roles in their respective communities. Meanwhile, the Marvel staff makes a point of comparing each of the special kids to some of their favorite comic book characters, highlighting how their constructive, forward-looking ways of thinking and their active efforts to help others are comparable to superhuman powers. Marvel's Hero Project is both interesting and inspiring, and shows us how we all have the potential to be superheroes.
