Such a good show idea but 5 episodes in the “hero” is a transgender girl. While I have no ill will towards those who engage with this ideology, it is my choice to discuss such issues with my children as I see fit. I don’t appreciate such a sensitive topic being snuck in several episodes in.

What's the Story?
MARVEL'S HERO PROJECT is a reality series that shows us that heroes live among us. Each episode features an inspiring young person that was brought to the attention of the Marvel Comics' editorial board, including VP of Creative & Content Stephen Whacker, Sarah Amos, VP of Development, and Sana Amanat, VP of Content & Character. It presents profiles of kids like 11-year-old Jordan Reeves, who founded Project Unicorn to help develop technology that can facilitate the use of learning technology for kids who are disabled, Elijah Lee, an 11-year-old ordained minister and anti-child abuse activist, and 15-year-old Adonis Watt, a talented high school football player who doesn't let his blindness keep him from setting his sights on the NFL. After accomplishments have been highlighted, the young hero is rewarded with a special jacket and a one-of-a-kind comic book created by Marvel that features them as a superhero and tells the true story of how they use their own special powers to save the world.
Is It Any Good?
This heartening series celebrates outstanding young people who have made the choice to face difficult challenges and serve their communities by being positive, hard-working, and creative in their everyday lives. While the heroes are from all walks of life, and have individual interests and talents, they all exhibit courage and commitment as they take on leadership roles in their respective communities. Meanwhile, the Marvel staff makes a point of comparing each of the special kids to some of their favorite comic book characters, highlighting how their constructive, forward-looking ways of thinking and their active efforts to help others are comparable to superhuman powers. Marvel's Hero Project is both interesting and inspiring, and shows us how we all have the potential to be superheroes.

Families can talk about what makes a hero. Is it having superpowers? Helping a community? What about just smiling and helping someone's day get better?
Many of Marvel's characters are based, in some way, on real people and events. If they were to create a character based on you, what would it be like?
Marvel's Hero Project shows us the different ways young people are working hard to make the world a better place for everyone. What things (even little things) can you do to make a positive change?
