This book will leave readers with a deep appreciation for Shirley Chisholm's legacy and her remarkable contributions to the United States of America. Loud and Proud explains Chisholm's long political journey in a digestible way for young readers. Each page is filled with captivating illustrations that include diverse characters. It's impossible not to be inspired by Shirley Chisholm's story and recognize her lasting and positive impact on the political world. While progress has been made in many of the areas Chisholm devoted her life's work to, this book is an important reminder that we must all use our voices, loudly and proudly, to fight for change.
