Dicks: The Musical

LGBTQ+ writers, characters, storylines. Cast includes many queer actors. Co-star Bowen Yang is Chinese American. A Black woman (Megan Thee Stallion) is a strong, outspoken leader. Two characters use wheelchairs; one, a primary character, is played by a non-disabled actor, while the other -- a smaller but featured role -- is played by a Latina actor with a mobility disability. Jokes are often bawdy and politically incorrect, but that's meant to reflect the cast's security/freedom with the material.

A long, comical montage of two brothers engaging in explicit sex with each other (the term "twincest" is used) includes nudity and a bevy of active sexual positions. It's very slapstick and sloppy; they're fully nude, but the only body part viewers get a full glimpse of is their butts. In another sex scene, a woman is implied to be naked (her bare back is seen). Also an encounter between two fully clothed characters. All sex is over the top and intended to be seen as shocking and farcical. Coarse sexual language, terminology, and descriptions. Anthromorphized, detached vagina. Drawings of a penis. Mentions of "morning wood" and masturbation jokes. Satirical song lyric: "No means yes."

Constant extreme swearing/lewd language. Words include "ass," "a--hole," "bitch," "boner," "c--k," "cum," "c--t," "dammit," "d--k," "motherf----rs," "piss," "p---y," "s--t," "slut," "snatch," "t-tties," "whore," and frequent use of "f--k" in all definitions. Crude comments about sex, including "eat my p---y," "cum," and "suck my d--k." A song written and performed by queer talent includes the recurring lyric "God is a f--got." Other exclamations include "holy f--king god" and "Jesus Christ!"
