my thoughts...

There's teamwork and action violence in this fun, woman-centered MCU tale.

Frequent fantasy violence in MCU’s first all-women team.

Before release, this film was criticised from the public for being centred around a team of purely female superheroes. I don’t think this film was made to be the first all-female MCU team, I just think that the characters all fit in and they were all female. The speculation that this film was going to be bad was immense. In fact, I think this could be one of the MCU’s best movies and Ms Marvel perfectly set this film up. The action is bright and fun and the chemistry between the characters is amazing, especially between Kamala and Carol. And the end cameos were very clever and perfectly set up future MCU projects. The only problem with it is the villain, (SPOILER WARNING!) who after supposedly changing her ways, went back to suck all the energy out of the sun and destroy the solar system (she kills herself accidentally though).

The Marvels is...good.

The film itself received a lot of criticism before it was even released, which ended up compromising its box office performance. However, the CGI, the story, the character development and the lack of unnecessary jokes: all of this helped the film to be better than the current "Marvel standard". In addition, the film prepares the Marvel universe for the future, both by inserting another universe in the post-credits scenes and by creating a possible new team of heroes. For me, The Marvels is good. It had a good structure, good synergy, a good leading role shared by the three, non-exaggerated jokes that made me laugh a few times, however, a negative point is the villain who had almost no development. In conclusion, The Marvels is a film that provides good entertainment and connects some series with the film.

Short Review Under 5 sentences NO SPOILERS :D (summary: it’s a good movie fit for all marvel fans 9+ and up)

If your kid has already watched most of the marvel movies then it’s the same level of violence and swears. It’s really great and has a good end credit scene (will not say what). The beginning did look a bit less of a film quality but that’s just me. Overall it was a funny light hearted marvel movie staring the new upcoming hero Ms. Marvel and her heroes. Also for any parents still concerned if your kid has watched the Deadpool movies or stranger things etc.. (anything else 13+ maybe 14+ that is more violent than marvel) your kid will be fine they have heard worse things in school (it’s honestly tv-pg in my opinion).

Absolutely HILARIOUS!!!!!!!

My family went to see the Marvels tonight and boy did the visit pay off. This movie is one of the most funniest things I have ever watched. The Flerken Kitty scene made me laugh so hard it felt like I was going to die. The only problems is that the swearing and violence can get a little much though. But there are also some great role models like Monica saving the galaxy, and Captain Marvel restoring peace to the galaxy including the Kree, and Ms.Marvel conquering her fear. EASY PERFECT SCORE!!!! And I would say it is perfect for anyone 9 and over.

a great youtube video that explanes what makes a good marvel (for those who think im hating on this move just for the sake of it): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whAXzMySsgA

CGI: really good 4/5 character, plot: awful 2/5 this movie was funny and had an easy-to-follow simple plot but it was meaningless, there was no care or compassion put into the plot or the characters. this wasn't a powerful woman-led Marvel movie, this was a cheap chick flick. those are my thoughts.

It’s REALLY bad, a showcase of everything wrong with marvel currently

It’s 105 minutes of directionless, passionless, unfunny and cringe awkwardly chopped and placed together from what was probably once a much longer and probably decent movie. It’s imbarissingly put on screen like the movie itself knew how bad it was and wanted to get the painfully bad experience over with as quickly as possible. The movies dynamic between the 3 main leads is decent with a couple smile worthy moments with almost exclusively Kamala’s family which was the standout. It requires so much homework from stuff nobody watched or cares about. Just like every marvel movie there are moments here and there where it is watchable but oh boy is it a mostly cringy mess. One last thing I will say to end on a positive note is that the CGI is improving and I was glad to see that throughout the movie.
