The game is good, but there's so much unskippable sex.

This game is 18+ for most people and 15+ for mature kids. This game has a lot of adult themes within the game that may influence or confuse young adults. For example is the sex within the game. Trying to spoil as little as possible, there is a lot of it. Geralt does it with many different women. This may influence a young adult into thinking they can have sex with many different women without facing repercussions. It may seem ridiculous but it is perfectly plausible. My own peers often think they can do things like this, that there will be no consequences for such a behavior, and if they played a game which reinforces this attitude, it could make things even worse. Indeed Geralt does get punished for going over the top, but you can still seduce multiple different women and face no consequence. A small concern is the racism and prejudice in a city called Novigrad. For most teens they will handle this fine, but for some immature or mentally disturbed individuals, this may influence violent acts against others who are different racially ect ect. As for the violence, it is fine, there are some scenes with a lot of gore which may disturb some sensitive individuals, most teens should be fine. As for the drinking, it is a problem that many young adults are drinking from a young age which causes adverse effects on their health, in this game a large amount of NPCs you talk to will offer a drink of some kind of alcohol, and seeing everyone drinking in a "cool" game like this may convince teens to drink as well, which is not ok.

I feel like parents saying kids have already seen sex is bullshit, that does not mean they should see it more and more until they are, in my opinion, 15, and the Witcher 3 isn't just sex, its got rape, sex and violence mixed together, and even Cyberpunk 2077 does not go as far as this game, the Witcher 3's story is often said to be one of the best in gaming, and is almost unbeatable, but saying 13 or even 15 plus is off, I played it at 12/13 but oh well, you play as Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher from the books and first 2 games, after his daughter and fellow Witcher Cirilla goes missing, you set off with your lover Yennefer to find her and bring her back to the Witcher school Kaer Morhen, hunting monsters, fighting governments, and fucking women on the way. The violence when fighting is tame as compared to Doom or Mortal Kombat, you use swords, axes, and magic to fight monsters and men, resulting in limb removal, decapitation, and brutal finishers, monsters are creepy and have messed up backstories like, Botchlings, in this world when a woman miss carries, unless buried right, the fetus becomes a demon, deformed fetus with creepy moldy and bloody limbs, once buried right, it watches over what could have been, its family, so sad and nice. A pimp named Whoreson Jr kidnap's hookers and rapes them, then tortures and kills them, saving the bodies for sex later, messed up, a baron whos family left him employs you too save a Botchlings and get his family back, they left him cause he hit them a lot, if you don't get them back you can find him later, he has hung himself, the sex is a lot, full frontal female nudity's , tons of sex scenes

The official age ratings of this game are completely inaccurate, personally, I believe that anyone over the age of 15 could handle this game, but just to be safe I've marked it 16+. There are obviously elements of gore and violence but descriptors over-dramatise this. When viewed first-hand the violence is really not that bad and not anything that children, especially teenagers, aren't aware of or haven't seen before. On a side note, the storyline and plot of this game are masterpiece level. The mechanics can be tricky at first but as you get used to them the game becomes very fun and intuitive, you find yourself becoming attached to the storyline as your dialogue choices can potentially change the game's entire course. Would highly recommend it for anyone 15-16 or over, amazing storyline, 10/10.

It is an incredible game and whilst being mythical it portrays the hardships and misery of medieval life the best out of any game. There are some gruesome moments and others that are borderline pornography it is easily outshone by its fantastic gameplay and riveting story line.

Fantastic game with great visuals and a good moral compass! This game is in no way "inappropriate" for kids over 14. This game isn't like most games where its mindlessly kill people, sure you kill monsters and animals but that's not too bad, plenty of kids hunt animals. This game premotes being a decent person and trying to defuse a situation before pulling a weapon, I mean its not too bad but it really shouldn't be hidden from a kid who is over 13, most that age are fairly mature and understand how to not kill every NPC. Especially in a game like this where you can feel genuine guilt for killing a innocent man due to how realistic the NPCs can be. Cmon we need to show some younger people a tad of respect... Its fine for 13+ I would say due to violence, language, and some nudity but overall a good lesson and emasculate story. It can truly teach you why defusing a situation is always the most ideal situation something young kids playing games like CoD should really experience.
