In this heartwarming and unforgettable adventure, a funny and engaging robot offers gentle lessons for readers about friendship, courage, and determination. While A Rover's Story is filled with facts about robots and space travel, the characters of Res, Fly, and Journey make learning about the rock formations, dust devils, and mountains on Mars fun reading for any kid -- or parent. The story can be enjoyed on several levels -- adventure lovers and robot enthusiasts will find much to love here, but there's plenty for philosophical readers, too. Warga's asking fundamental questions in this story about what it means to be human, to have an identity, what it means to belong, and what home really is. Kids and adults can probe these topics from the unique entry points this book provides, or simply enjoy it as the emotionally-satisfying page-turner it is.
